Launch of Cornish Limpet Dinghy at the 2009 RYA Volvo Dinghy Show

When listening carefully to our customers needs we understood that many people fell in love with the Limpet, and whilst many were inspired by the idea of building their own boat, some simply said they wanted a ‘ready to sail’ version.

We now had to come up with a boat that kept the beautiful classic elegance of the wooden Limpet but that had a more modern twist in the materials used and a more convenient option for those not wanting to build their own. By creating the “ready to sail” version hopefully we have satisfied our customers needs and the Limpet will be enjoyed by many more.

• All glass fibre and polyester resin construction, anti slip decks and integrated buoyancy
• Douglas fir spars – finished in Sikkens for easy maintenance
• Iroko thwarts, deck capping, outboard pads and gunwhales – finished in Sikkens for easy maintenance
• Marine grade plywood rudder and dagger board – epoxy coated and finished in 2 pack high performance polyurethane paint
• Tan sails – numbered with sail bag
• Galvanised rowlocks and brackets
• Blocks and lines – halyard and sheets etc. whipped
